Boiler fouling sensors
Our long-standing cooperation with Clyde Bergemann Power Group started with a question: how to build a heat flux sensor (acting as a fouling sensor) for application in the furnace of a coal-fired boiler. Clyde Bergemann is the market leader in Intelligent Sootblowing.
Collaborative project funded by the EC
Hukseflux participates in the nano-on-spect programme. The project is funded by the European Commission under the 7th Framework programme. Nano-on-spect aims to accelerate the commercialisation of innovative polymer nanocomposites by creating a comprehensive processing solution to quality problems. Our responsibility is the thermal conductivity measurement of the composite material.
Flare heat flux measurement
On many oil platforms flaring takes place close to the platform. For studies of personnel-safety in the proximity of flares, the local heat flux has to remain below certain limits. An engineering firm in charge of the acceptance test asked for a practical sensor. Hukseflux developed static as well as portable sensors for measurement of flare heat flux.
